Not everyone who reaches out is a good fit for this work.

Here's what I offer, who it's designed for, and how we begin.

Strategic Relationship Assessment

Four structured sessions that tell you what's actually happening in your relationship — not what you've been assuming.

Session one is a joint intake. Sessions two and three are individual — one with each partner. Session four is a comprehensive feedback session in which I present a clinical formulation of your relational patterns and a strategic roadmap for the future.

You leave with:

  • A shared understanding of your core relationship cycles

  • Language for what keeps getting triggered between you

  • Clarity on each partner's role — without blame

  • A written Relationship Feedback and Working Map

  • A clear recommendation for next steps

Most couples who find me have already spent months in therapy that didn't tell them what was wrong. The Assessment is designed to answer that question first — before spending more time and money reacting in the dark.

This is where all couples’ work begins. No exceptions.

Clarity Consultation

One to five structured sessions for couples where one partner is leaning toward divorce and the other wants to save the marriage.

Session one is a joint session, up to two hours, where I hear the full picture from both of you — including separate one-on-one conversations with each partner. Every session after that is optional: at the end of each one, we ask whether another would be useful, and either of you can stop the process at any point, up to a maximum of five sessions.

You leave with:

  • Clarity and confidence in a direction — stay as things are, move toward divorce, or six months of all-in couples therapy with divorce off the table

  • An honest understanding of what happened to your marriage — including your own part in it

  • The leaning-out partner's reasons taken seriously, not argued with

  • The leaning-in partner's hope counted, not managed

  • A direction chosen on purpose — not arrived at by exhaustion

Most couples on the divorce fence either start therapy that assumes a commitment one of them can't make, or drift toward an ending nobody actually chose. The Clarity Consultation exists so the decision gets made on purpose — before spending more time and money on the wrong process, or on no process at all.

This is the one exception to beginning with the Assessment. Deciding whether to do it comes before working on how.

Structured Reconciliation

A defined reconciliation attempt for couples who are separated — or separated in everything but address — and have decided to try.

A written structure for the attempt: the final decision set aside for a defined period, the living arrangement and its terms put in writing, closeness rebuilt step by step as the relationship shows it can hold it, and a genuine decision at the end.

You leave with:

  • A defined period — typically six months — instead of open-ended limbo

  • Written terms for the arrangement you're actually living in, two households or one

  • A deliberate path for rebuilding trust and closeness, in the right order

  • An honest read on what the relationship can and can't yet do

  • A decision made on evidence — whichever decision it turns out to be

Most separated couples get no structure at all: they drift back together on a good weekend or drift apart by default, and either way nothing was decided. This exists so the attempt is real and the decision is yours.

Begins with a joint eligibility consultation. Also the natural next step for Clarity Consultation couples who choose the reconciliation path.

Relationship Intensives

Three-hour focused sessions for couples who have completed the Assessment and are ready to move beyond insight into real change.

Because we've already mapped your relational patterns, emotional dynamics, and core constraints, we're able to use intensive time efficiently — working in real moments to interrupt cycles, practice new ways of relating, and build connection that holds under stress.

Intensives are for couples who:

  • Want to accelerate progress beyond standard weekly sessions

  • Need concentrated support around a specific stuck point

  • Are navigating a rupture, transition, or escalating pattern

  • Do their best work in depth rather than in increments

Completion of the Strategic Relationship Assessment is required prior to scheduling.

Individual & Couples Counseling

Ongoing work for couples and individuals who want sustained support, deeper pattern change, and real-time skill development.

For couples, counseling builds directly on the Strategic Relationship Assessment. We work from a shared map of your patterns rather than guessing session to session. The work is intentional from the first hour. Couple’s Sessions are up to 2 hours.

Ongoing couples work builds on a map — for most couples, the Strategic Relationship Assessment; for couples arriving through Structured Reconciliation, the map built during that work.

For individuals, we begin with a standard intake and move into ongoing counseling focused on anxiety, relational wounds, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm. Insurance may be applicable for individual sessions. Individual sessions are up to 50 minutes.

Which path is yours?

Couples begin with the Clarity Consultation, Structured Reconciliation, or the Strategic Relationship Assessment — the door matches the question you're actually facing: deciding, reconciling, or rebuilding.

Every healthy relationship runs on structure. It just operates at different altitudes — and the right starting point depends on the altitude you're at.

Orientation first, then intentional change.
